OC Shepherd

OC Shepherd, 91, was born on February 22, 1934, in Richwood, Arkansas, to the late Essice Shepherd Sr. and Nevador Tucker Shepherd. He transitioned from his earthly body on December 15, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in North Little Rock, Arkansas. OC worked for the Little Rock Housing Authority for many years and was known for his willingness to help others. He was married to Mable Bolden, and to this union ten children were born.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings Freddie Shepherd Bunch, Essice Shepherd Jr., Doris Shepherd Jamison, and Lucille Shepherd; and children Raymond Hunter and Maudester Shepherd. 

Cherishing his memory are his children, Beverly Coleman (Raymond), Patricia Bryant (La-juahn), Diane Shepherd, Sheila Echols (Torrence), Kellie Allmon Davis (Meredith), OC Shepherd Jr. (Marsha), Allan Shepherd, and Gregory Shepherd (Twanna); his siblings James Shepherd (Penelope), Jewel Wilkerson, Lloyd Shepherd (Barbara Ann), Berniece Dodson (William) and Joe Shepherd (Erma); and a loving legacy of grandchildren, great grand- children, great-great- grandchildren, extended family and friends.
